Jessica Simpson Pop star Jessica Simpson has donated a minivan she won at the MTV Video Music Awards last year to an orphanage in Mexico.

The 26-year-old won a Chrysler Crossfire sports car at the show and asked the car company if she could exchange it for a minivan for the Casa Hogar Elim orphanage in Nuevo Laredo.

A source tells American publication People, "Last week, someone asked Mama Lupita (who runs the orphanage) if she could use a van. Mama Lupita said, "Of course we could use it!'

"So then she was told that she was getting a brand new seven-passenger van from Jessica Simpson. She started to cry for three minutes straight and then said, 'I can't wait to give Jessica a big hug!'"

The singer is also auctioning off the sexy red dress she wears in her new Pizza Hut commercial, which debuted during the US Super Bowl.

The source adds, "She's selling the dress on (online auction site) eBay. Proceeds from the dress will also go to help Casa Hogar.

"The orphanage means so much to her. She wants to help Mama Lupita and everyone in the orphanage."
