Former The O.C. star Mischa Barton has reportedly escaped unscathed from a minor accident in her friend Nicole Richie's Mercedes jeep. The actress was borrowing the vehicle and driving it on Los Angeles' Sunset Boulevard over the weekend when she accidentally collided with a car in front, reports British newspaper The Sun.

Barton pulled over into a nearby gas station to exchange details with the other driver, but damage was limited and no one was injured in the bump.

Richie's not having much luck with her cars recently - she was charged with a misdemeanor for driving under the influence (DUI) by the Los Angeles district attorney on Friday after cops pulled her over for driving the wrong way on a Los Angeles highway last December.
