Peter Gabriel Rocker Peter Gabriel has urged big businesses to embrace the latest technology to highlight human rights abuses around the world.

Gabriel needs more cash to fund his venture Witness, which seeks to document human rights abuse captured on amateur video cameras.

Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Gabriel says, "With the phone and internet, anyone, any place, can tell their story. You have seen the trend to citizen journalism."

The former Genesis star is reported to be in talks with YouTube owners Google about the project.
