'Little Miss Sunshine' Wins at SAG Awards

Little Miss SunshineLittle Miss Sunshine scooped the Ensemble in a Film prize at the 13th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday. The low-budget comedy unexpectedly took home the prestigious accolade, which is the ceremony's equivalent of the Best Picture Oscar. Full List of Winners Below

Greg Kinnear, who plays stressed dad Richard in the film, expressed his Oscar hopes as he accepted the prize. He said: "I think we feel good. An Oscar would mean a great deal to us. Making a movie isn't always a great experience, that's the facts. But this really was a remarkable experience."

British actress Dame Helen Mirren picked up two gongs on the night, Female Actor in a Leading Role for her performance in The Queen and Female Actor in a TV Movie or Mini-series for Elizabeth I. As she accepted her award for The Queen, Mirren confessed she was initially not keen on playing Elizabeth II. She quipped: "I saw those terrible shoes and tweed skirts laid out in a row and I cried."
