Def Jam Drops Christina Milian
R&B beauty Christina Milian has been dropped from her record label Island Def Jam, only a month after releasing her third album So Amazin'.Milian, 24, was reportedly dumped by the music label after poor album sales, according to the New York Daily News.
The disc sold 50,202 copies in the first week following its May 16 release.
However, the Cuban-American star's publicist insists Milian and Def Jam "mutually" agreed to part.
Her publicist says, "Christina Milian and Island Def Jam have decided to end their relationship due to creative differences. This was a mutual decision."
According to the Daily News, Milian upset label bosses when she declined to record "SOS" (Rescue Me), which turned out to be a huge hit for teen singer Rihanna.
