Christian SlaterChristian Slater was so inspired by pals Anthony Hopkins and Emilio Estevez's recent directorial efforts, he's planning to make his debut as a movie maker with a film he's scripted. The actor teamed up with Estevez and Hopkins for Bobby and then starred in Hopkins' directorial debut "Slipstream," and the two projects have given him a taste for movie making.

He says, ""I'm inspired by Emilio and Anthony being actor/directors, so I've written something that I'm working on directing in the future. It's called ‘Love Stories Are Too Violent For Me,’ and it's an homage to a lot of films and a lot of actors that I love."

Promoting "Slipstream" at the Sundance Film Festival, Slater admits he hopes to persuade Hopkins to star in his first film.
