Matthew McConaugheyMatthew McConaughey was shocked to find his childhood home exposed on television in the early 1990s when he first shot to fame because he had already warned his mother against such invasions of privacy.

The handsome actor got his Hollywood break after a minor role in 1993's Dazed And Confused, and later went on to star in the film adaptation of John Grisham's legal thriller A Time To Kill, and 2000's U-571.

McConaughey recalls, "I told her, 'Mom, be cool. Don't allow anyone in the house.' The next thing I know, I'm looking at some show and there's my bedroom and a camera and my mom is walking through saying, 'This is where he slept.' I call her up. She was like, 'Well the guy at the door was so damn nice.' Thanks, Mom!"
