Maid Launches Civil Case Against Naomi Campbell

The maid who alleges Naomi Campbell assaulted her with a mobile phone during an argument over a pair of missing jeans has launched a civil lawsuit against the supermodel. Ana Scolavino accuses Campbell of assault, battery, libel and slander, and is suing for unspecified damages. She was treated for a head injury following the incident in Campbell's New York City home last March.
On Tuesday, the British beauty pleaded guilty to assault in Manhattan Criminal Court. She was ordered to pay Scolavino's medical expenses, complete five days of community service and attend an anger management class. But lawyers for Scolavino have now filed a civil case against Campbell in Brooklyn Supreme Court.
The suit claims: "As the plaintiff was descending an interior stairway within the apartment in an effort to leave the premises, she was placed in imminent apprehension of physical harm and was then intentionally struck in the head with a cell phone by the defendant."
