Director John Woo is developing a video game version of his 1992 Hong Kong action movie Hard Boiled. Woo is determined for "Stranglehold," due for release in March, to be a faithful adaptation of his ultra-violent cult film, which stars Chow Yun-Fat.

A pixelized version of Yun-Fat's "Hard Boiled" cop character Tequila appears in Stranglehold, and Woo has a cameo role. Woo has also overseen camera angles and developed the script for the game.
