Death Cab For Cutie singer/guitarist Ben Gibbard is making the leap from indie rock star to indie film star. Gibbard has scored a role in the big-screen adaptation of David Foster Wallace's short story collection "Brief Interviews With Hideous Men."

The film will be directed by John Krasinski, who plays Jim in the The Office. Other cast members include Bobby Cannavale, star Mila Kunis and Kransinski's co-star from The Office, Rashida Jones.
