Pearce says, "I was hired to write the book freely, with no copy approval. One of the producers showed her a copy of the book and she took out 4,000 words relating to her private life. The book's publishers were under no obligation to go along with her cuts but they did so because she had copy approval over the pictures. I assume she's complaining about the fact that I used the words she cut out of the book in articles published elsewhere but I have every right to print them."
