Massive Weight Gain Worried Jared Leto's Doctors

Jared Leto in Chapter 27Jared Leto piled on so much weight to play John Lennon's killer Mark David Chapman in a new film doctors were seriously worried about his cholesterol. The star guzzled two pints of microwaved Häagen-Dazs ice-cream daily to play the chubby assassin in Chapter 27, and gained a speedy 65 pounds in the process.

As a result, Leto suffered from gout and his cholesterol levels shot up. He says, "My cholesterol was so high they (doctors) wanted to put me on Lipitor (prescription cholesterol medication). I took a wheelchair to set every morning because I couldn't walk more than a few feet without excruciating pain."
