Teri Hatcher refuses to fall victim to the trappings of a celebrity lifestyle and insists on carrying out her own daily chores. The 42-year-old hasn't changed houses or upgraded her car since finding fame in the hit TV show Desperate Housewives.

She says, "I think I live a very under-the-radar life. I still live in the same house. I still drive the same car. I get up, take my daughter to school, come home, have a shower, and go to work. Then I try to be home to cook dinner. That doesn't change, no matter what magazine cover I'm on or what country the show is on in around the world."
