'The Jeffersons' Star Mike Evans Dies of Cancer
After studying acting at Los Angeles City College, Evans landed the role of Lionel Jefferson in 1970s comedy show "All In The Family," and then spin-off "The Jeffersons" in 1975. Evans left The Jeffersons for four years to star in sitcom Good Times, which he created and co-wrote with Eric Monte, but returned in 1981.
In recent years, Evans had become interested in real estate and bought several properties in California.
