Beyoncé Knowles feels she and Jennifer Hudson were destined to star in movie musical Dreamgirls because they were born the year the project hit Broadway. Both stars are 25 - something that Knowles feels links them spiritually to the beloved stage show, which has now been turned into a major movie.

She explains, "I know that it's no coincidence that not only was I born 25 years ago, but so was Dreamgirls. And so was Jennifer Hudson. I think we were both born for these roles. I don't think it's just a coincidence that we were brought on this earth in the same year. I've been preparing for this character my whole life. Even without me knowing."

The star also shares something else with Hudson - the two singers and co-star Anika Noni Rose are all Virgos.
