Daddy Warbucks from Annie has topped the Forbes "Fictional 15," an annual listing of the wealthiest fictional characters. Santa Clause was eliminated from the list this year because Forbes was inundated with letters from children insisting the jolly man is "real."

According to Forbes, Warbucks, an ex-U.S. Army general turned industrialist, is worth $36.2 billion, thanks to the ongoing conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan and because of a contract to provide oil-well maintenance in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

The Fictional 15 are:
