Nick Cannon Says Harry Belafonte Changed His Life
Singer/actor Nick Cannon was thrilled when legendary star Harry Belafonte took him under his wing while shooting the film Bobby. The 26-year-old is trying to emulate Belafonte's success and is releasing a new album next year and appearing in three upcoming films. The pair became close while shooting Emilio Estevez's feature that's set on the day of Robert F. Kennedy's assassination.
Cannon says the 79-year-old "downloaded me with so much wisdom - this man who was one of the cornerstones of the civil rights movement, the first man to ever sell a million records. We have spent time together, absolutely. When I say that Harry Belafonte changed my life, I mean it!"
