Networks Announce Sweeps Schedule for Nov. 1-29

CSICBS, ABC and NBC just announced their schedules for November sweeps. During "sweeps," Nielsen Media Research sends out diaries to sample homes across the country so TV viewers can record the shows they watched. Based on these results, networks set their advertising rates. The more people watch a show, the more they can charge for the commercials during it.

In a mean-spirited attempt to have the manager of their trailer park, Millie Banks (guest star Roseanne Barr) stop harassing them, Earl disguises himself as the voice of God and fools Millie into obeying his absurd commands. As Earl tries to erase Millie off his list, he finds that the once shrewd trailer-park manager is gone and has transformed for the better. Meanwhile, Tim Riggins and Lyla Garrity break injured Jason Street out of his rehab room, taking him on a surprise trip to the lake just like old times. When Coach Taylor and wife Tami butt heads about Bobby Reyes' punishment, Coach Taylor wonders if he can do his job without giving up everything he believes in and hurting those he holds close.

"Mailbox" -- Bored with her life, Catalina offers to help Earl take care of #75 on his list by cleaning out a mailbox that he once used as a trash can. When they learn it's a long-lost love letter from trailer park resident Will to his former gym co-worker Wendy, Earl agrees to keep an eye on Wendy while Will gets back into shape for her. Meanwhile, Joy (Jaime Pressly) kicks Darnell (Eddie Steeples) out after discovering he's in the Witness Protection Program. Ethan Suplee also stars.

"Release" -- Chris Drake escorts two drunken women onto a party bus to film a scene for his movie company Babes Being Bad, and finds his friend Bryce Moore dead, making Chris an instant suspect. Using video as his alibi, Detectives Ed Green and Nina Cassady track down the suspect, Nicole Flynn, and she admits to being on the bus questioning Chris about video footage he recorded of her while on spring break. Yet, as A.D.A.s Jack McCoy and Connie Rubirosa dig deeper, more is exposed of Babes Being Bad as well as Nicole's story, leading to an unlikely conviction for the murder.

Meanwhile at rehab, Jason Street's suspicions about Lyla and Tim grow, and he is touched by the chance to go to the homecoming game.

Meanwhile, Allison discovers that she and Bridget are both having a very similar odd series of dreams, with the primary difference being that Bridget's dreams keep coming to her in the form of cartoons. When Bridget's dreams become dark and ugly, Allison begins to realize the connection to a case she is working on.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 16

MY NAME IS EARL (8-8:40 p.m.)
"Robbed a Stoner Blind" -- In the midst of a heat wave, Earl remembers number 26 on his list -- "Robbed a Stoner Blind." In his attempt to cross it off his list, Earl and Randy find Woody, the stoner they robbed, living an eco-friendly life in a commune. The only way Woody will let Earl cross him off his list is if Earl and Randy live an environmentally conscious life in the commune with him for a week. As Earl's newfound insight on the environment becomes more extreme, his new mission is to save the world from global warming. In the episode, viewers will see at some point all the Earl characters in Stop Motion Animation. Jaime Pressly and Eddie Steeples also star.

"Deadlock" -- When convicted mass murderer Leon Vorgitch kills two prison guards and escapes from prison, Detectives Ed Green and Nina Cassady rush to apprehend him but not before he ruthlessly murders two more innocent people. With Vorgitch already serving seven life sentences, District Attorney Arthur Branch urges A.D.A.s Jack McCoy and Connie Rubirosa to expedite the process and push for a guilty plea -- but Vorgitch doesn't bite, as an extended trial only means a delay in his transfer to a maximum security prison -- and more time for him to escape. McCoy is then left with little option but to ask the judge to bypass the law and authorize a death penalty case. S. Epatha Merkerson also stars.

"Six Months Ago" -- As the clock turns back six months for all of the "Heroes," Mohinder's father Chandra Suresh arrives in New York to begin his quest to find individuals with extraordinary abilities, and meets someone all to eager to be special. Peter celebrates his graduation from nursing school, and learns that Nathan plans to prosecute a case that could mean trouble for the entire Petrelli family. A surprise visit from her father brings out the worst in Niki. Hiro attempts to be a hero and change the future for someone important. Claire joins the cheerleading squad and makes a curious discovery. H.R.G. and the Haitian meet someone special.

STUDIO 60 ON THE SUNSET STRIP -- (10-11 p.m.)
"B-12" -- The cast has to get through the show despite being ravaged by a virus -- and Matt has to get through the week with a new and much smaller writing staff. Jordan tells Danny that she's pregnant.

"Crossing the Line" -- While Tim Riggins and the team celebrate their victory, a frustrated Brian "Smash" Williams takes drastic measures to improve his performance on the field. Coach Taylor's daughter Julie considers going on a date with rookie quarterback Matt Saracen, while Saracen trains "Smash" at his new job at the Alamo Freeze. After dinner with Taylor and his wife Tami, Riggins and his brother clash in a heated fight. Riggins and Lyla watch from the stands as Jason takes part in his first quadriplegic rugby game -- one that will end with a vicious confrontation between him, the woman he loves, and his best friend in the world.

LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT -- (9-10 p.m.)
"Weeping Willow" -- After popular video blogger Willow and her boyfriend Holden are seen kidnapped live on-line by two violent assailants, Detectives Logan and Wheeler are assigned to the high-profile case. With the help of a tech wizard, the detectives question whether the kidnapping is staged or real. When a follow-up video blog shows Willow pleading to viewers to download videos -- which will raise the ransom money -- Wheeler takes a trip into cyberspace to face off with the kidnappers..

LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT -- (10- 11 p.m.)
"Choreographed" -- A woman, is found dead in Central Park, and when medical examiner Warner can find no apparent reason for her death, Detective Stabler begins the investigation by talking to the victim's husband, Wesley, who owns a dance troupe, as his friends Glenn and Naomi Cheales pay a condolence visit. Stabler's investigation unravels a case of drugs, infidelity and an elaborate plot that impacts everyone involved in the troupe. Attorney Stella Danquiss , who defends Glenn. In this star-studded episode, Stabler also discovers Detective Benson is back in town, so he pays her a visit.
