Meat LoafRocker Meat Loaf has blasted the promoters behind his New York concert special next week after learning fans have to pay up to $250 for a seat. The star admits he was appalled when he first discovered tickets for the sold-out Palace Theater show were so expensive and he wants fans to know he had nothing to do with the pricing.

He fumes, "I was p**sed off. I had no idea they were charging that much money for tickets - 250 bucks? I wouldn't have allowed that. That was way too expensive. It drives me crazy at how expensive tickets are. As a kid, I can remember spending 10 bucks to see Buffalo Springfield. Nothing is worth 250 bucks. I don't care who you are. It just puts pressure on me. Thirty-five bucks I can deal with that, but, for 250 bucks, I better come out covered in gold."
