Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell is counting his blessings after a truck careered into his motorcycle in Los Angeles. The rocker was thrown off his bike and suffered severe cuts and bruises after the terrifying accident on Tuesday.

Although his $50,000 Exile Chopper was smashed beyond repair, Cornell walked away from the crash scene without any serious injuries and returned to work within hours.

A spokesperson tells PageSix.com, "Chris escaped with very little injury considering the severity of the accident. Later that day, he returned to the studio to record his new solo album."
