Will Smith To Invest in Basketball Team
Rapper/actor Will Smith is being linked with a consortium interested in investing in National Basketball Association (NBA) team the Philadelphia 76ers. The hip-hop star has joined forces with 76ers legend Julius 'Dr. J' Erving who is preparing a take-over bid for the sports franchise, according to The Philadelphia Daily News. Owners Comcast-Spectacor have already held talks with another interested party and are allegedly asking $450 million for the franchise. A host of stars have invested in NBA teams, including Shawn 'Jay-Z' Carter, Nelly and R&B singer Usher.
