SpongeBobOutkast star Andre 3000 has signed up SpongeBob SquarePants creator Tom Kenny to give him voice lessons. The hitmaker has created a new cartoon series, "Class of 3000" and called on Kenny to help him voice characters, including one based on himself.

Kenny, who is among the veteran voice actors involved in the project, agreed to give the funky singer pointers so he could make the most of his animated characters.

Andre 3000 tells MTV News, "Since it's animated, you can do so much with your character. I mean, you can jump up in the air and stay there for five seconds, so the voices have to go there too. The first time I was in a recording session with the true voice actors I was so intimidated, but he (Kenny) helped me become a little more whimsical and magical."
