The widow of the late Roy Orbison has been rejecting numerous film offers from producers keen to make a biopic of the rocker's life because she doesn't want to share the late singer with the public. Barbara Orbison, who was married to the star for 20 years, finds it hard to believe anyone could capture her husband's spirit - and even the singer's pal Sean Penn didn't make the grade.

She says, "I get two offers a month for films. We had contracts with studios but they've all expired. I'm not sure a writer could capture Roy. I used to think that Sean Penn could play him when he was younger - he and Roy were friends - but now I don't know, maybe not in my lifetime. Maybe it's just another way of not wanting to share him."
