'The Grudge 2' Wins Weekend Box Office
Horror sequel The Grudge 2 topped the box office over the weekend with $22 million, knocking director Martin Scorsese's film The Departed into second place. "The Departed" took in $18 million, while Robin Williams' new film, Man Of The Year, opened in third place with $12.6 million. Animated film Open Season took fourth place with $11 million, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning rounded out the top five with $7.75 million. Two other new movies debuted in the top 10 - action thriller The Marine starring professional wrestler John Cena opened at number six with $7 million.
Meanwhile, One Night With The King, the saga of the biblical story of Esther, came in at number nine with $4.3 million. Infamous, starring British actor Toby Jones as famed author Truman Capote, opened weakly with $435,000 in 170 theaters, despite good reviews.
