Diane LaneDiane Lane has joined the ranks of Hollywood's green crusaders after trading in her car for a more environmental model. The star felt compelled to get serious about the environment after hearing peers like Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks and Daryl Hannah talk about their hybrid and biodiesel vehicles.

She says, "I now have a car that runs on any vegetable oil you put in it. It's really cool. I'm not financing any more wars, any more oil spills. I'm off the grid. Instead of complaining, (I'm trying to) do what I can."

Lane was in for a green treat when she recently appeared on Ellen DeGeneres' talk show - the host presented her with two drums full of her own used vegetable oil she had saved for the actress. DeGeneres joked, "That should get you home."
