A week of sex trysts that ended with a bizarre out-of-body experience prompted rocker John Mayer to stop having casual encounters with fans. The singer, who once dated Jennifer Love Hewitt, admits he discovered the rock 'n' roll lifestyle wasn't for him after a strange encounter with an amorous fan.

He tells Rolling Stone magazine, "I slept with, like, three girls in a week. I thought that's what you did. But there was one girl, I don't remember anything about her, but I left my own body and looked down at myself and said, 'Huhuh. Not you.' I stayed up all night and didn't sleep."

Mayer insists he hasn't slept with another fan since that episode six years ago.
