Janet Jackson has sensationally revealed she was once tricked into taking liquid cocaine, believing it was a medication she could use to cure a sore throat. The pop superstar admits she was struggling with pain before a concert in Japan some years ago, when a doctor suggested he had the cure.

In a recent Los Angeles radio interview, the singer revealed, "He gave me some liquidy stuff and it helped me so much... It was in a vial."

But Jackson later learned the medication was liquid cocaine - something ear, nose and throat physicians sometimes use legally to dull tissue pain. Upon learning she had actually ingested cocaine, the singer admitted she "broke down into tears" when the medic offered her more medication.

She explained, "I started crying and told him to take it - that I didn't want it."
