Beyonce Knowles celebrated her 25th birthday a day late yesterday when she was presented with a look-alike cake during an appearance on MTV show Total Request Live.

TRL dedicated the entire show to the former Destiny's Child star and ended the program on a sweet note - with a pink champagne cake that featured candied images of Knowles with flowing locks and hoop earrings made from chocolate and icing.

The thrilled singer said, "That's so cute... I love it."

The surprise was topped off by the TRL audience singing Happy Birthday to the pop superstar.
