Foxy Brown yesterday pleaded guilty to assaulting two nail salon workers in 2004 before trying to change her plea to not guilty moments later. The hip-hop star, real name Inga Marchand, tried to return to the courtroom minutes after admitting the misdemeanor assault charges filed against her.
She claimed she had been rushed into her guilty plea, but the New York City judge refused to let her change her mind. Brown is being sued by two nail salon workers after she allegedly lashed out at them in a dispute over the cost of a manicure.
The 26-year-old's guilty plea is expected to lead to three years probation and anger management classes. Sentencing is scheduled for October 23.
