Filming Abuse Scenes Was Difficult for Elisha Cuthbert
Elisha Cuthbert became so emotionally involved when shooting scenes for her new movie The Quiet, in which she plays a sexual abuse victim, she walked off set. Cuthbert, best known for her role in TV smash 24, battled to contain her own feelings during filming. She tells MTV, "I wanted to defend the character as I was playing her. I wanted to lash out and say, 'Stop doing this to her.' I remember at one point having to walk off set, and getting really upset because I didn't want my own feelings to show through the character - sometimes you could be thinking something and not realize it's coming through.
"She's being sexually abused, and playing those scenes... towards the end of the film, was extremely difficult for me. Going there was a tough thing to do."
