The Black Eyed Peas
debut solo single "London Bridge" has baffled residents of the British capital because the video features Tower Bridge. The singer, real name Stacy Ferguson, features the iconic 19th century Tower Bridge in her promo, instead of the plainer London Bridge further down the River Thames, which was built in the late 1960s.
Fergie also poses in front of Tower Bridge for the front cover of her single.
Fergie wouldn't be the first American to confuse the two bridges - in 1968 U.S. entrepreneur Robert P. McCulloch bought the previous 19th century London Bridge for $2.4 million under the impression he was buying the more impressive Tower Bridge. It now stands in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
