Nicolas Cage Buys German Castle
Nicolas Cage has snapped up a derelict castle in Bavaria, Germany, after months of negotiations. The actor first visited the 500-year-old Neidstein Castle earlier this year when it was put up for sale for $2.3 million. According to a local newspaper, the actor wants to use the estate, which boasts 28 rooms and comes with 400 acres of forests and grassland, as a retreat.
But before he can move in, Cage will have to renovate the castle - it has draughty windows, a leaky roof and the electrics and sanitary facilities haven't been updated since the 1960s.
