Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest has broken the $300 million barrier at the North American box office quicker than any other movie.

The sequel, which stars Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom, has taken a staggering $321.7 million after only three weeks on release.

"Dead Man's Chest" has already earned more at the box-office than its predecessor managed in six months. It remains at the top of the U.S. box office taking $35 million over the weekend.
