Britney Spears has found a new love – tigers. The singer has posted a bizarre tribute to the endangered big cats on her official website, in which she says she shares the same “love, lust, danger, warmth and adventure” as the ferocious animals. Britney, who is married to Kevin Federline, strangely admits she is “mesmerised” by the predators in her peculiar prose.
She writes: “In some ways, people are a lot like animals. We all hunger for the same things. Love, lust, danger, warmth and adventure. Like people, animals all have their own rhythm to life. I’m mesmerised by tigers. Their eyes, their stripes, their constant quest for survival. They almost have a sense of mysteriousness about them.
“They pull you in and make it difficult to look away. They make you wonder what is behind their gaze. A sense of eerie awe comes over you in their presence. The fear they give you when you pass them is stunning. Behold the beauty of the tiger.”
Surprisingly, the 24-year-old star even quotes William Blake’s classic poem The Tiger before beginning her piece.
The extract reads: “Tiger! Tiger! Burning bright In the forests of the night, What immortal hand or eye Could frame thy fearful symmetry?”
The random entry ends with a photograph of a tiger staring straight ahead.
