Charlie Sheen has agreed to an extension of a restraining order that restricts him to one supervised visit per week with his two daughters in Los Angeles. The extension came in lieu of a hearing that was supposed to take place this week to arrange custody of the actor's children, Sam, 2 and Lola, 1, with estranged wife Denise Richards.
Richards filed for divorce in March 2005, after nearly three years of marriage, and requested sole custody of the children. After a brief reconciliation, she decided to go ahead with the divorce in January this year and was granted an order of protection against Sheen in April.
A Los Angeles judge took just 20 minutes to agree to extend the restraining order Thursday. Neither Sheen, nor Richards was present for the hearing. The restraining order is now in effect until August 14 and the custody hearing has been postponed until September 12.
