With an average of 6.1 million total viewers, “Psych” was the highest-rated scripted series premiere on basic cable this year in all key demos.

The “Monk” season 5 premiere earned more viewers than any scripted hour in basic cable ever in the Friday 9 p.m. hour, with an average of 5.1 million total viewers.
