* A hip-hop museum is set to open in New York City borough The Bronx, which was the birthplace of the musical genre in the late 1970s. The initiative was spearheaded by City Council member Larry Seabrook and has been allocated $1.5 million of public funds. Seabrook says, "We're not talking about gangster rap. We're talking about hip-hop."
