Johnny Depp Is Inspired By Marlon Brando, Hunter S. Thompson
June 27th, 2006 8:57am EDT Post a comment
Johnny Depp credits the memories of two important figures in his life - legendary actor Marlon Brando and iconic journalist Hunter S. Thompson - for helping him make major decisions in his life.
Depp co-starred with Brando in 1995's Don Juan DeMarco and starred in 1998's Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas based on Thompson's classic book.
He explains, "I wouldn't do anything that I thought could disappoint them or make them ashamed. Even if I'm alone - even if I'm going down this road and I feel it's really what this character is and everyone in the world thinks I'm wrong - you've got to do what you believe in."
