Former Wilson Phillips
star Carnie Wilson
is fighting to keep her weight down by signing up as a contestant on reality TV show "Celebrity Fit Club." The singer, who underwent drastic gastric bypass surgery in 1999 after being told she was morbidly obese, has been struggling to lose her baby weight since giving birth to daughter Lola last year.
The new mom admits she packed on the pounds while pregnant and is still 40 pounds shy of her ideal weight, so she's hoping a televised diet and fitness regime on the fourth season of "Celebrity Fit Club" will help her overcome her struggles.
She says, "It took me nine months to lose 15 pounds. That was really frustrating ... You just want to give up. It was one step forward and two steps back."
It won't be the first time fans have been able to watch Wilson lose weight - her gastric bypass surgery was broadcast on the Internet. Wilson will join The Sopranos' Vincent Pastore
, singer Angie Stone
, rapper Bonecrusher
and former Baywatch
babe Erika Eleniak
on the reality show.
