CarsAnimated movie Cars is locked in top gear as it remains at the top of the U.S. box office for a second week. The film, which features the voices of Paul Newman, Owen Wilson and Bonnie Hunt, grossed $31.2 million in its second weekend to stay on top, beating off challenges from new releases Nacho Libre, racing film Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift and romance The Lake House.

Funnyman Jack Black's Mexican wrestling comedy debuts at number two on the new chart with an impressive $27.5 million, while the Fast & The Furious sequel surprised many film fans with a $24.1 opening.

Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock's timely romance, "The Lake House," debuted at number four with a $13.7 million opening weekend.

The only other new release to make a dent in the top 10 was Garfield sequel, Garfield: A Tale Of Two Kitties, which raked in $7.2 million to debut at six.
