Hank Williams III Stops Fighting Custody Battle

Country rocker Hank Williams III has given up fighting for custody of the son he knew nothing about for years because he fears his hell-raising reputation will stand in his way of a fair court ruling. The rebellious grandson of country legend Hank Williams was thrilled to hear he'd fathered the next generation of the Williams clan and has spent years trying to get access to his 12-year-old-son.
He says, "I knew the girl, his mom, but her dad was a cop and she didn't even tell. She didn't want to tell me. The kid has a stepfather going on and he's got the family there. I don't get to see him because of my reputation and what I do. The judge looks at me and it's a no-way."
Williams is now looking forward to the day when his son reaches adulthood and tracks him down. He adds, "I'm looking forward to the day when he tracks me down, looks me up and says, 'Hey, what's happening.' It'll come around."
