William Shatner Denies Wearing A Corset on 'Star Trek'
William Shatner has laughed off rumors he was forced to wear a corset to hold in his waist while playing Captain James T. Kirk in Star Trek. The TV legend explains an unfortunate accident led the press to label the star a girdle-wearer. The 75 year-old says, "I'll tell you how that happened and it was not on 'Star Trek.' I love horses and there was a series called T.J. Hooker, and I went on my lunch hour to a nearby ranch to ride a horse bareback. I sort of leant forward and the horse stood up and broke my rib. So they sent a driver for a large Ace bandage and he must have called a tabloid to say, 'I am getting Shatner a corset.'"
