Socialite Paris Hilton has topped a new gay poll as the “Hottest Reason To Be Hot” this summer. Editors of gay magazine Out chose the hotel heiress as the year's most exciting gay icon ahead of new Superman Brandon Routh and Meryl Streep as a catty fashion boss in The Devil Wears Prada.

Other stars making the magazine's 'hot' list include Mission: Impossible III star Jonathan Rhys-Meyers and Grey’s Anatomy star Sandra Oh, who is named the "Hottest Gay Icon in The Making."
