Michelle Williams' father has been thrown into jail in Australia for failure to pay U.S. taxes. Larry Richard Williams was arrested at Sydney airport on Saturday after U.S. authorities issued a warrant for his return to the states where he is wanted on charges of evading $1.5 million in income tax.

Williams, whose daughter has a baby, Matilda, with Australian actor Heath Ledger, arrived in Sydney from South Africa, and was due to be a guest speaker at a series of financial seminars in Australia. Williams is a world-renowned share trading guru who travels extensively revealing his stock market secrets and is even known as "the million dollar man" in stock market circles.

He is accused of creating false documents and using multiple bank accounts to evade his huge tax bill. Australian Magistrate Allan Moore will decide whether or not to grant bail.
