Two letters written by John Lennon are to be auctioned in London this week.
The letters, sent to the former Beatle's ex-wife Cynthia and his cousin Leila in 1975 and 1976 are expected to fetch $27,000 each when they go under the hammer at a Christie's on Thursday.
They discuss Lennon's split from Cynthia and his relationship with Yoko Ono. The short letter to Cynthia is signed "your famous ex-husband".
Other items on sale include a shirt worn by the guitarist while recording She Loves You, which is expected to raise $22,000 and a rare copy of A Hard Days Night signed by all four Beatles, which should fetch $27,000.
