Celebs Raise Money for Children's Charity
Stars including Claudia Schiffer and Christian Slater have teamed up with British charity the National Society For The Protection Of Cruelty To Children (NSPCC) and auction site eBay for a multi-million dollar auction. Celebrities are donating items in order to raise $18 million for the launch of There4me.com, the NSPCC's online counselling site for kids. Lots in the star-studded auction include an invitation to David and Victoria Beckham's glitzy World Cup bash, a London screening of X-Men: The Last Stand for 72 people, a shopping spree with Elizabeth Hurley and a chance to duet with rocker Bryan Adams.
Supermodel Schiffer has put her own jewelled watch up for sale in the so-called Dream Auction, and bidding has so far reached $7,750.
