David & Victoria Beckham To Sell Haunted French Home
British soccer ace David Beckham and his wife Victoria are selling their luxury $2.55 million home in the South of France because it is haunted. No one told the couple the 19th century mansion in the village of Baregemon, near the Cote d'Azur, was still inhabited by the spirit of its former owner, the late Leslie Duck, who shot himself in 2001. An insider says, "Nobody told David and Victoria about the ghost until after they had brought the property. Victoria is seriously spooked and refuses to set foot in it. After three years of avoiding the place, they've finally decided to sell it."
A neighbor adds, "Leslie was very distinctive looking. He has been seen limping around the estate or heard mumbling about historic naval battles he was passionate about."
