Fall Out BoyFall Out Boy singer Pete Wentz tried to commit suicide after the pressure of recording the band's first album on Island Records became too much to handle. The frontman suffered a breakdown during the recording of From Under The Cork Tree last year and took a handful of anxiety pills in a desperate attempt to free himself of his depression.

Wentz says, "My head was racing with self-doubt and negative thoughts. I just wanted to shut my head up. I didn't really think about whether I slept or died. It was overwhelming. I was either totally anxious or totally depressed. It is particularly overwhelming when you are on the cusp of something very big and thinking that it will be a big flop. I was racked with self-doubt."
