Rita Wilson To Make Broadway Debut in 'Chicago'
Tom Hanks' wife Rita Wilson is set to razzle dazzle Broadway, New York, this summer after signing on to replace Robin Givens in hit musical "Chicago." Wilson will take on the role of naive wannabe Roxie Hart in the show - a part Renee Zellweger played in the Oscar-winning 2002 movie. Wilson will make her Broadway debut in the musical in June. She joins a long list of stars who have played Hart on Broadway, including Brooke Shields and Liza Minnelli, who once stood in for the original Roxie, Gwen Verdon.
Meanwhile, "Chicago" is in its ninth year as Broadway's longest running revival.
