On Friday, April 28, on NBC News' "Today," actor George Clooney will appear live with his father Nick Clooney to broadcast his personal video that he shot on a recent top secret trip to Darfur. The video contains footage of what is happening in Darfur, which Clooney shot to help raise awareness of the dire situation in the region.
The Clooneys will discuss the recent trip, why it was made, and the footage they shot while they were undercover in the region.
The United States believes a genocide is being committed against Darfur's black African population. Sudan's government has consistently said the scale of the problems are being exaggerated for political reasons. It denies backing the Arab Janjaweed militias accused of mass rape, killing and looting.
